About Me

Astin Darby is a passionate Storyboard Artist and aspiring Director. While he is new to the industry, he has worked on a variety of independent productions--both animated and live-action. Clients include Martilem Animation Studios and NQI Studios.

Astin graduated from the College of Charleston in 2019, where he earned his B.A. in Arts Management and minored in film and studio art. While there, he entirely self-produced an award-winning 3D animated short film called A Space Oddity (2016). Since then, Astin has had a varied career in the performing arts, from small, local theatres in Charleston, SC to huge, international Broadway tours. However, his true passions have always been art and storytelling, which is why Astin has pivoted to a career in animation.

A storyteller by heart, you can always find him thinking of tales big and small. He is currently based in Atlanta, Georgia. When he's not doodling in his sketchbook, Astin enjoys writing, making 3D animations, playing video games, and cosplay.
